The City of Parkland is a beautiful and green, upscale residential community with small scale commercial villages. Parkland is considered a small community of 20,000 located close to South Florida's metro areas of Ft. Lauderdale & Boca Raton. The City managers have carefully preserved its natural areas and restricted commercial development, maintaining a park-like character. In Parkland alone, there are six parks covering more than 96 acres along with 2 challenging Golf Courses one of which is private and the other open to the public. There are baseball, soccer, football, and basketball leagues as well as other recreational opportunities, including a summer camp, an equestrian center, jogging/bike paths and horse trails for those who ride. If that doesn't interest you, maybe the Parkland Golf & Country Club, Tennis Center or local fine dining might be a reason to make Parkland your new city of choice.
Housing in the city can range from a country house on 2-5 acres up to a $3 million estate on a golf course.
